How many roses are sprinkled with dew?\n<p>I read it the first time in the day or two before the Rankin\/Bass version was televised, so I would have just turned eight, more or less. I may well have read it only once a year since then, but that would be the lower limit. At a guess, then, thirty times. I won't say I've enjoyed it more each time, but I don't think I've ever started it and not enjoyed finishing it.\n<p>It&#8217;s a marvelous book, relaxing, captivating, and rich. It&#8217;s a marvelous story, told marvelously well.
