Keyes<\/h3>\r\n<blockquote>Only one killed\u2014in Company B;<br>\r\n&nbsp; &nbsp;'Twas a trifling loss\u2014one man!<br>\r\nA charge of the bold and dashing Lee\u2014<br>\r\nWhile merry enough it was, to see<br>\t\r\n&nbsp; &nbsp;The enemy, as he ran.<br>\r\nOnly one killed upon our side\u2014<br>\r\n&nbsp; &nbsp;Once more to the field they turn.<br>\r\nQuietly now the horsemen ride\u2014<br>\r\nAnd pause by the form of the one who died,<br>\r\n&nbsp; &nbsp;So bravely, as now we learn.<br>\r\nTheir grief for the comrade loved and true<br>\r\n&nbsp; &nbsp;For a time was unconcealed;<br>\r\nThey saw the bullet pierced him through;<br>\r\nThat his pain was very brief\u2014ah! very few<br>\r\n&nbsp; &nbsp;Die thus, on the battle-field.<br>\r\nThe news has gone to his home, afar\u2014<br>\r\n&nbsp; &nbsp;Of the short and gallant fight,<br>\r\nOf the noble deeds of the young La Var<br>\r\nWhose life went out as a falling star<br>\r\n&nbsp; &nbsp;In the skirmish of that night.<br>\r\n\"Only one killed!
