I know that this Tohu Bohu\u2019s quadriennial commentating on the presidential nominating conventions is a high point of everyone\u2019s internet. And yet, I doubt I will do much commentating this year. If I do, it will probably be in Another Place (or even the other Other Place, where bird-like twitterings are as well-suited to complaining about political conventions as there are to anything else) and desultory at best.\r\n
I\u2019m curious about what will happen this year, all remote and videoconferenced and pretty much the opposite of what I like about them. My Party<\/a> seems, on the whole, to be doing a reasonably good job of adapting, under the circumstances, with \u2018virtual roundtables<\/a>\u2019 taking the place of the usual succession of brief speeches. I will attempt to report back on how it all works out and how I think about it.\r\n And as always, if you want to watch the evening stuff, I highly recommend watching from the Party's site (or through any of their many, many streaming options) rather than watching or listening to news coverage, which will cut away to pundits and responses.\r\n Tolerabimus quod tolerare debemus,<\/I>
