The first was A Letter of Mary, my least favorite of the Laurie R. King Mary Russell series. I also read Justice Hall in May sometime, and now I’ve finished the newest, The Game.

The earlier were re-reads, but of course this was my first time through. I enjoyed it quite a lot; I will probably want to buy it in paperback, so if I’m still blogging every book I read next Spring, look out for an actual review. For now, though, I’m all distracted by this list of ninety books.

I haven’t yet, it seems, read anything twice. I should admit, though, that I am picking up bathtub books with the knowledge that I will have to do book reports; I have on more than one occasion decided I will not read another Vorkosigan book, just on the thought of having to admit to it later. It turns out, I think, that I’ve re-read three (and another Bujold as well). I think it’s four Dick Francis books. Er, that’s not true; I’ve read Straight this year as well, so make that five, and another book report to write (sigh). Come to think of it, I never wrote one for Moo, either. Damn.

It looks like there are fifty-seven first-reads, though, which is more than half. I suspect that the decision to write ’em down (and in public, too) has had an effect on that, as well. On the other hand, the change in living conditions has meant fewer long, hot baths, and when in a long, hot bath, I usually want to read an old favorite, rather than take my chances on something new.

Mmmmm. Long, hot bath. Gotta go.

                           ,
-Vardibidian.

If I am counting correctly, and I’m probably not, this is YHB’s ninetieth book report of the year.
