The menu said \"Pasta of the day: baked ziti.\"  I went up to the kid behind the counter and the following loop occurred:<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Me<\/strong>: Is there meat in the baked ziti?<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Kid<\/strong>: We don't have baked ziti.<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Me<\/strong> [looking at next item on menu]: Then can I have the broccoli chicken ziti?<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Kid<\/strong>: We don't have broccoli chicken ziti.<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Me<\/strong>: Then what do you have?<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Kid<\/strong> [to other counterperson]: What do we have?<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Counterguy<\/strong> [to kid]: Just what's out on display there.<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Kid<\/strong> [to me, pointing to food on display]: Just what's here.<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Me<\/strong> [pointing to ziti-like food]: What's that?<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Kid<\/strong> [to counterguy]: What's that?<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Counterguy<\/strong> [to kid]: Baked ziti.<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Kid<\/strong> [to me]: Baked ziti.<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>Me<\/strong>: So is there meat in the baked ziti?<\/p>\r\n<p>[Kid starts to go ask counterguy.  I decide it's not worth my time and take my business elsewhere.]<\/p>\r\n<p>The kid showed no indication through the entire dialogue that he saw anything contradictory about his statements.&nbsp;.&nbsp;.&nbsp;.<\/p>\r\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ever feel like you&#8217;re trapped in a bad comedy routine?
