{"id":12562,"date":"2009-11-24T01:26:32","date_gmt":"2009-11-24T09:26:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kith.org\/journals\/neology\/2009\/11\/24\/introducing-guest-blogger-shmu.html"},"modified":"2009-11-24T01:26:32","modified_gmt":"2009-11-24T09:26:32","slug":"introducing-guest-blogger-shmu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kith.org\/words\/2009\/11\/24\/introducing-guest-blogger-shmu\/","title":{"rendered":"Introducing guest blogger Shmuel"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>It occurred to me a while back that it might be interesting to have other folks who are interested in words and wordplay join me in blogging here, either temporarily or permanently.<\/p>\n<p>As the first experiment in that direction, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.babeltower.org\/soapbox\/index.html\">Shmuel<\/a> has agreed to be a guest blogger here for the next month or so.<\/p>\n<p>For those who don't know him:<\/p>\n<p>Shmuel is probably best-known online for his abovelinked Soapbox blog, but he hasn't posted there for a while; lately he's been <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Shmuel510\/\">Twittering<\/a> instead.<\/p>\n<p>My first significant interactions with him, iIrc, were when he and I were both proofreaders at the online erotica magazine <cite>Clean Sheets<\/cite>. He had a sharp eye for prose problems of all sorts, from the punctuational to the grammatical, and his comments were often entertaining, interesting, and informative.<\/p>\n<p>(And by the way, he's currently available for freelance copyediting, proofreading, and research. Or maybe I mean researching? Parallelism!)<\/p>\n<p>We've kept in intermittent touch over the years, and he's been a regular reader and commenter here.
