I initially assumed that it was a typo for <i>somehow or other<\/i>, but I got curious and did a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=%22somehow+or+rather%22\">web search<\/a> and found that lots of people have used the phrase online. I assume that it\u2019s an eggcorn, but if so, it seems to be a pretty common one. And it\u2019s not listed in the <a href=\"https:\/\/eggcorns.lascribe.net\/\">eggcorn database<\/a> (though that\u2019s true of plenty of eggcorns), and I don\u2019t think I had encountered it before.<\/p>\r\n<p>Do any of you use this phrase?
