{"id":18248,"date":"2020-06-26T08:33:18","date_gmt":"2020-06-26T15:33:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.kith.org\/words\/?p=18248"},"modified":"2020-06-26T08:33:18","modified_gmt":"2020-06-26T15:33:18","slug":"human-biodiversity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kith.org\/words\/2020\/06\/26\/human-biodiversity\/","title":{"rendered":"human biodiversity"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<p>I recently encountered yet another vaguely-scientific-sounding term that\u2019s used to make racism sound less bad: <i>human biodiversity<\/i>, also known as <i>HBD<\/i>.<\/p>\r\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/rationalwiki.org\/wiki\/Racialism\">RationalWiki explains<\/a> the way that the phrase tries to come across as innocuous (to be clear, RationalWiki is being snarkily opposed to racism here):<\/p>\r\n<blockquote>\r\n<p>By being just one \u201cbio\u201d away from supporting \u201cdiversity\u201d and by failing to [explicitly] mention race, human biodiversity [pretends to be] the most innocuous form of racialism, because it allows one to deny any racism\u2014because [it claims to be] recognizing biodiversity, not being racist! Coined by Steve Sailer (a political blogger) of VDARE.
