One of my favorite bloggers, Nathan Newman recently wrote a piece about the rhetoric of the Left in the wake of Our Only President’s disastrous decision to invade Iraq. As some of my Gentle Readers will recall, I was ambivalent about the war for quite a while, but ever since we invaded, I have felt, and felt strongly, that America was now responsible for rebuilding Iraq. $87 billion is not even close; I haven’t had time to look at the accounts in detail, but I did see that it only would pay for water to three-quarters of the urban population. We must build a paradise in Iraq, not only because it’s the Right Thing to Do, but if we want to regain the respect and admiration of the world. That’s all I’ve been saying, in my clumsy Latin.
