Your Humble Blogger is getting out the old seder plate. Passover is my favorite holiday; when I talk about those aspects of Judaism that I really enjoy and find fulfillment in, I tend to go back to the haggadah. It’s the central story of the Jews, for me. We were slaves of Pharoah in Egypt, and the Lord brought us out, with a strong hand, and an outstretched arm.
Not that there aren’t things that bother me; I can’t interpret ‘Next Year in Jerusalem’ in any way I’m comfortable with. But it’s a lovely service, and a lovely meal, if the yams turned out OK.
So, Gentle Reader, if such a message applies to you, have a happy and kosher Passover.

Out, damned chametz! Out, I say! Kadesh: urchatz: why, then, ’tis time to do’t.
What, will these cupboards ne’er come clean?
