Bondcote, SOP, Lead Paint, yadda yadda yadda

Your Humble Blogger would like to blame every damn’ thing on Our Current President and his Busheviki, but like everything else, it’s more complicated than that.

So when I hear that a company has been treating tents, tarpaulins and other fabrics destined for our servicemen with carcinogenics, and has in fact pled guilty to having falsely claimed that the materials had been tested, and is still selling tents to the DoD, I should be shocked. I want to be shocked. I want to blame Our Only President, as if this couldn’t possibly have happened under Our Previous President. But, really, this is likely SOP and has been for years.

So, OK: Positive thought: it is, in fact, being reported in newspapers.

Negative thought: John Flanagan is a “recognized industry leader” who gets paid for his “turnaround expertise for manufacturing companies”.

Positive thought: Sen. Grassley (R-IA), a very conservative fellow indeed, gave former Secretary Rumsfeld at least a little bit of grief about it.

Negative thought: Donald Rumsfeld isn’t actually the former Defense Secretary.

Positive thought: Yet.
