Your Humble Blogger will be traveling this weekend, so there will probably not be any new notes. I’m caught up with books, anyway.
Oh, and I said to my Best Reader after the joint press appearance last night that I would be surprised if the conventional wisdom declared it as a ‘win’ for John Kerry. I am surprised this morning, but it’s early, yet. By my new criteria (who is happy at the end of the night) I expect everybody ‘won’; it looked to me like everybody did what they set out to do, and nobody made the kind of mistake they particularly wanted to avoid.
I will say that this administration’s propensity for inconsequential lies is astounding. Lies of consequence are a different matter, but denying meetings or quotes that are not in themselves important (and which are on tape) seems bizarre.
But I’m supposed to be packing for the trip. Back Monday, I expect.
