Gosh, look at the calendar

Your Humble Blogger was aware that he had been slacking, but was startled to discover that there were only two entries in the last two weeks. Sorry about that.

I have, y'all will be overjoyed to hear, been working just doglike on the consideration of the Democratic Candidates which will, I hope, begin showing fruit early next week. It's been a fascinating exercise, and one that I strongly urge anyone with time, access to Lexis-Nexis, and interest in politics and civics to do. It's actually quite hard to avoid thinking in terms of electability, and harder to find articles about candidates in which the journalist was attempting to avoid such thinking. I've taken to reading articles ten years old or so, to get out of the election frame of mind. I do believe that the party should, ultimately, consider electability in its choice, but there's certainly no need to consider it first, and there will be plenty of time after Labor Day (or, for that matter, Hallowe'en) to think strategically.

Anyway, I've found lots of fascinating tidbits about the various candidates, and so far have found myself more favorably disposed to each of them than I was at the beginning of the process, which is nice.

In the meantime, I'll try to go back to posting once a day; I tend to think of a vague idea for a fluffy post, then decide I'll work on it for a bit, and then decide I really should spend my Tohu Bohu time working on the Dems. So for a bit, I'll just post my vague ideas vaguely, and hope you, Gentle Reader, enjoy them.

Redintegro Iraq,
-Vardibidian.

One advantage of being a third-party supporter is not having to worry much about electability. :^)
