The Yale strike is ovah! I've no real idea who won, but my goodness, isn't that a mess. The whole Yale labor thing is a textbook example of how a bad management can encourage a hostile union to be more hostile yet, and a hostile union keeps up the defenses of the bad management, until the whole idea of there being any common interests, either economic or social, seems absurd. Yech. Still, the strike's over, and it doesn't seem to be too bad a contract, and there's eight years on it, so perhaps the whole nasty back-and-forth can be put to rest.
