Well, and it’s time for Vardibidian Predictions (we're never wrong, unless you count mere factual inaccuracy) to come through with another year’s worth. You know my methods; randomly jot down a bunch of names and hope that I can slap the thing up on the web before anybody else gets hurt.

Post Script: This has been edited to reflect the fact that I after I finally decided to put the Padres on top of the division, I forgot to put them into the playoffs. Apologies,

I expect to see St. Louis in the Series, but beyond that I don’t see the postseason as in any way predictable this year.
And for an additional view, here’s my picks for the AL, and here’s the NL.
After last night’s game, I feel it incumbent upon me as a former resident of Dorchester to state that this year’s team is a bunch of worthless pansies who couldn’t find October on a calendar. Third place.
Thanks,

This wasn’t as bad as I remembered it being. I had Atlanta and Philadelphia flipped, and the wildcard came from the Central (barely), but the NL doesn’t look like some sort of bizarre alternate universe.
In the AL, I had Boston and NY flipped, and that was close, and, um, well I had the division-winners in second, which isn’t bad. Not really bad, anyway. I have no idea why I thought the White Sox would be any good, but clearly I did. On the other hand, I clearly thought the A’s would not only win the division but have a ton of wins.
I think the Cardinals over Boston is still a decent bet.
Thanks,
-V.
