Does rolling dice for sevens come developmentally before or after learning the trick to never losing tic-tac-toe? Because if the Perfect Non-Reader can do the latter, it’s high time to start teaching her Go. (Start on a 3×3 board and work up).

I’d be happy to do the honors.

Oh, tic tac toe is a major struggle for the Perfect Non-Reader. She seems, more or less, to understand the point, and to understand that part of the strategy is to block the other player while setting up your own line, but she doesn’t actually choose the squares to accomplish that.
Of course, she’s still ditching sixes at Rummy every time, just because she doesn’t like sixes.
    Thanks,

Oh, childhood flashback — when I was first learning arithmetic, certain numbers had distinct personalities to me. 7 was mean to 6 because it made it make 13 (instead of 12), but 6 and 8 got back at 7 to steal 14.

Not liking sixes and discarding them? Too cute. Can’t stand it.
