bye for now

OK, so it case it wasn’t obvious, I’ve been catching up on my Book Reports before packing up the computer and moving house. I’ll be off-line for the next couple of days, then on dial-up for a couple of weeks (at least), and I suspect I won’t post much during that time. It looks, though, as if I’ll be able to get back to posting more or less daily once I do get started again. So check back in September, Gentle Reader and you might find a nice stack of entries.

Hum, and I didn’t actually catch up on my Book Reports altogether. One thing about being in somebody else’s house, is I tend to borrow books I might not otherwise read. So in my mother-in-law’s house I finally read Pride and Prejudice, and I wrote up a note about it, and it’s presumably still on the computer there. Rather than writing another, I’ll wait and see if I can recover it, and perhaps it’ll get posted. I also read half of Freedom of Expression®: Overzealous Copyright Bozos and Other Enemies of Creativity before returning it to the library, as it really isn’t right to take library books with one when moving out of state. I’ll probably post a bit about that book despite not finishing it. I find the topic interesting, and found (what I read of) the book frustrating.

OK. Time to back up, pack up, and go. See y’all in a bit, Gentle Readers.

Maybe they should rent library books the way they rent cars: from Williamsburg, you would have free unlimited mileage within VA, NC, and MD, but beyond that it’s 30-cents per mile.

Remind me not to check out any space opera, then. 30 cents per mile for 45 minutes at FTL would bankrupt me.
