Another Opening, Another Show

Well, and this is the part where I just casually happen to mention that tonight we open, in what is clearly a transparent attempt to milk y’all for best wishes and break-a-legs.

Pathetic, but there it is. We Theeyater folk are attention vampires, we feed on those sorts of things. We'd stack up a sandwich of telegrams and eat 'em with relish, if we weren't worried about getting relish all down the front of the rented costumes. Oh, and if Western Union still did telegrams. Ah, well.

I’ll donate a third leg on the condition you break it too!

And hey, you’ve never told us precisely where your theeeaytah is… not that the odds are that great I’d be able to use the tickets if I got ’em, but hey, they’re non-zero odds.

The show was fabulous and went off without hitches of any perceptible size. I can say with confidence that it was “seldom tedious”. That Valmont was a vile toad and only jumped a few of his lines.

I’ve got some friends in your very general vicinity — if you would be so kind as to tell me the name and address of the theater, I’ll heckle them until they go see.

No legs broken, although I did open up a two-inch gash on my ankle that may well leave a mark. I actually figured I was out there like Curt Schilling, but it didn’t bleed enough to show through the hose. Looks a beaut today, though.

    Thanks,
    -V.
