Book Report: Lady Friday

Sadly, Lady Friday had all the flaws of Sir Thursday, but magnified because Your Humble Blogger just read Thursday a month ago.

Again, there were good bits—I particularly liked the portrayal of Friday herself as an addict, terrifying and pathetic, her own weakness making her both easy to defeat and incredibly dangerous. I liked the Paper Pushers, and the silent wossnames that fly, and some of the rest of the world-building. But the Piper and the Mariner were just useless, and just generally all the conflicts were easily solved or sidestepped. The plots seem very half-hearted. Ah, well. At least he hasn’t just lost interest and left off altogether.
