Your Humble Blogger was looking for something light and comfortable, and so picked up His Majesty’s Dragon for a re-read. I had enjoyed it very much the first time through, and the second as well, but had not enjoyed the other books in the series as much. I was wondering, as I picked it up, whether the flaws in the series as a whole would affect the way I read this book, or even if the book wasn’t as good as I remembered it, having in it the seeds of the problems with the series.
I adored it again. Really a wonderful time. I am wondering if the later books are perhaps better than I remember them…
