Book Report: Mixed Magics

Mixed Magics is a volume with four short stories by Diana Wynne Jones involving the Chrestomanci. They’re OK. I got on a bit of a DWJ kick, partly because her stuff is shelved in a part of the library that I was walking through, rather than in a part of the library I had to remember to visit. I generally find it a mistake to read too much of one author in a short time, but then it’s easier to remember to check for another book when you’ve just finished one. Harder to think (on my feet at the library) of an author that I like but haven’t read for three or for months. This Tohu Bohu actually assists, when I’m looking at it, but that’s only when I’m looking at it, isn’t it?

On the other hand, I have lots and lots of books out from libraries at the moment. I should consider finishing those, perhaps, and then worry about how to go about controlling my library susceptibilities.
