Slipstream
Turns out that there's an annual anthology series dating back to 1980, reprinting poetry and fiction from the small press, called Slipstream. Now I want to know when Sterling's essay was written (I thought it was in the late '80s or early '90s), and when the term was coined in its sf-related context. Further research indicated, sometime when I'm not late for work.
