Stealing from Sterling’s blog

I'm never quite sure whether to repeat items posted in other public places, but what the hell.

In Bruce Sterling's Weblog at The Infinite Matrix today, he posted links to photos of Vera "Veruschka" Lehndorff (who was apparently a famous model in the '60s), taken by Holger Trültzsch; Lehndorff is nude in these photos, but heavily body-painted to make her blend, chameleon-like, with her background (or perhaps in some cases the photo was edited to produce the effect?). My two favorites aren't typical of that blend-into-background effect, but are pretty cool: "iron beam head" (1978) and "Waldstück in Schnaitsee" (1972).
