Done but not all done
Met my current deadline, and didn't even have to stay up all night (or, in fact, any later than I usually do) to do it!
Unfortunately, there are more deadlines to come. Sigh.
Attended wedding this past weekend. Another to come next weekend. Last summer, I had friends getting married on five consecutive weekends on the East coast (I was invited to four, and would've attended all of those if I hadn't been horribly sick for one of them (and even then would've gone, but I'd barely slept for days (coughing) and didn't think I could manage a two-hour solo drive each way safely)); this year is much more manageable, with only three expected weddings, all in California, and only two on consecutive weekends.
So this coming Friday night I'll be getting on a plane (for the first time since WorldCon, and thus the first time since 9/11) and flying down to LA; I'll be staying with my brother and sister-in-law, and will help celebrate Jenn's and Kenny's wedding. Also hope to see a couple SoCal friends, if I remember to tell them I'm coming. And Karen and Pär and Tot! All good.
For now, simple plan: sleep.
