Dear to us ever
Just came across this quote from Homer:
. . . dear to us ever is the banquet, and the harp, and the dance, and changes of raiment, and the warm bath, and love, and sleep.
In context (The Odyssey, Book VIII), the "us" appears to be more specific than it looks out of context, which makes it a little less cool. But still, I like it.
