Mentioned on slashdot
Well, we haven't been slashdotted per se, but someone on slashdot did post a comment some hours back (in response to a slashdot article about a commercial produced by Farscape fans) that pointed to SH and our Farscape article. The comment's been moderated up to the highest possible rating for a slashdot comment, so it should be visible to even the most persnickety of comment-readers. It hasn't sent traffic through the roof the way a main article pointing to SH would, but it's definitely increasing traffic.
The commercial itself, I'm afraid, isn't anything really special; it consists of a bunch of Farscape fans saying what they do for a living and adding "and I am Farscape." I'm not sure who it's aimed at; the point seems to be "a diverse range of people love this show." But still, kind of a cool experiment in grass-roots media efforts.
But the thing that surprised me most about the commercial is that my friend Jessica E. is in it. I haven't talked with her in a while, and I had no idea she even watched the show, much less that she'd be in a commercial about it.
