Happy Solstice!
Mya reminded me that the solstice is today; this Equinox and Solstice calculator indicates that the exact time of the winter solstice is 01:04 GMT, which is, um, about a minute from now according to my system clock. (Though comments attached to the calculator say it's only accurate to within about 15 minutes.)
Which means the days will be getting longer again soon. Thank goodness. I think it's just about the right time for that.
