ISFDB goes away!
Ack. The database-search capability of the ISFDB, which for some time has been an excellent resource for bibliographic information about science fiction and fantasy writers, has gone offline, possibly permanently, due to their ISP's objections to excessive numbers of database requests (over 3000/day). The people who run the ISFDB have concluded (given that this is not the first time this sort of problem has come up) that maintaining a service like the ISFDB online just isn't financially feasible; running a resource-intensive site costs a fair tad bit of money.
You can still download all the database files, but you have to do your searches by hand on your local machine if you do that. Very unfortunate.
