Submission volume status
In 2002, we averaged about 200 submissions a month; for June to November, it was more like 210 a month.
In January of 2003, we received 270 submissions.
Luckily for us, so far it looks like February's gonna be back down to more normal levels. My guess based on past experience is that over the next couple of months we'll settle down to an average a little higher than the old one. I like it when the numbers go up gradually; it's just the sudden 25%+ increase in a month that's a bit overwhelming.
Then again, most of that increase is because we took December off, so I guess I can't complain—if we average December and January, the average was much lower than normal.
