Artificial stupidity
Funny bit on an alleged organization allegedly known as the National Artificial Stupidity Association. It appears to have been widely forwarded, but I don't think I've seen it before. Or if I have, I've forgotten.
I assume the whole thing's fiction from start to finish. But cute.
Another item from the same site (also, I assume, widely forwarded): Things We Will Never See on Star Trek. Some are kind of dumb/obvious, but I like some of them, such as:
An enigmatic being composed of pure energy attempts to interface with the Enterprise's computer, only to find it has forgotten to bring the right leads.
And:
A power surge on the bridge is rapidly and correctly diagnosed as a faulty capacitor by the highly trained and competent engineering staff.
