“The Right Number”
Scott McCloud is doing a micropayment experiment: a Flash-based web comic called "The Right Number," which you can read the first installment of (57 panels) by signing up for the micropayment system (trivial if you have PayPal, though you have to put at least $3 into the system) and paying a quarter.
I don't know whether there's any chance of this taking off, but I do think it would be great if micropayments were to become feasible, so I gave it a try. I enjoyed the comic, too.
