Magazine fiction budget calculator
I'm not ready to talk about the SFWA pay-rate change yet, but I did want to mention that I threw together a budget calculator web page the other day, which allows you to enter information like how many pieces of original fiction a magazine is running, and average word count, and calculates the annual budget required. I found it useful for looking at various scenarios to see how budget would be affected. It might be useful for other magazines, too, especially if you interpret the labels on the text boxes loosely.
