Reference
The last few stories I've edited have been without benefit of reference books. (Though of course I've used various online reference materials extensively.) Today I finally dug up the box of reference books and opened it, and now I can check things in the Chicago Manual of Style once more.
To quote Sweeney Todd: "At last, my arm is complete again!"
