Advance notice: I'll be up in Washington celebrating my grandmother's 96th birthday over the weekend. I'm not sure whether I'll manage to get online at all between Friday night and Sunday night. So if you're expecting email from me over the weekend and don't receive it, that'll be why.

Last night, I downloaded the newly released Retrospect 6.0; tonight I'll be doing a full backup of my hard drive. That's the plan, anyway—I always plan to back up my disk before I leave town, but I don't always manage to do so.

    I always plan to do all my backups before I leave town, and get a good night’s sleep; the sleep is usually where I cut corners rather than the backups. :^p But I’m pretty used to traveling tired at this point, which seems like a handy skill.
