Five Children and It, the movie?
I was looking up a Kenneth Branagh movie just now and happened across the IMDB page for Five Children and It, a 2004 British movie based on the 1902 E. Nesbit novel of the same name.
The movie features Branagh, Zoë Wanamaker, and Eddie Izzard as the voice of the Psammead. Going by the trailer, I suspect it has precious little to do with the novel, but it might still be entertaining.
It was released in the UK and at the Boston Fantastic Film Festival last month; sadly, it doesn't appear to have had a wide release in the US yet. Have any of you seen it? Was it any good?
Apparently there was also a 1991 UK TV series version.
