SH mail problem (now fixed)

Yesterday, our ISP turned off spam filtering on SH's email, which should have been an innocuous thing to do but interacted very badly with a detail of our mail-processing system. As a result, all mail sent to most SH addresses for a period of about 18 hours was thrown away. Unfortunately, most of us who would normally have noticed the lack of mail just happened to be away from email for most of the day.

Thanks to the amazing middle-of-the-night efforts of Will (and indirectly thanks to some earlier help from Chaos, I gather—and I think an espresso milkshake was involved somehow as well), we seem to be back on track; mail is now working again.

We did receive the subject lines and originating addresses of the lost messages, thanks to the logging system that Will put in place a while back. We think we've identified most or all of the non-spam messages, and are contacting the senders, but it's possible that we've missed some. It looks like we lost half a dozen fiction submissions (two have been resubmitted so far this morning) and four poetry submissions, and possibly a couple of queries.

So here's the brief version to spread far and wide:

Most of the email sent to Strange Horizons on Friday, November 19, has been lost. If you tried to send us mail between 7:00 a.m. on Friday and 3:30 a.m. on Saturday (Eastern US time), please re-send. (That's between noon Friday and 8:30 a.m. Saturday by Greenwich time/UTC.)

Please keep a copy of any mail you send us for the next few days, just in case things go awry again.
