Pitchbot, a.k.a. “A + B = awesome,” is a mini-app for generating random juxtapositions of titles of movies, books, and other works. The joking premise of the app is that it’s providing “comps” for an author: a way of describing your novel to a publisher or agent, by comparing it to other (famous) movies and books and such.

I got the idea of an app that combines randomly chosen phrases from They Fight Crime!; I got the idea of using comps to describe a book from DongWon Song’s description of the “A + B = awesome” paradigm (though that approach is serious, not silly like my app).
