Book Report: The Android’s Dream

Your Humble Blogger was looking for a nice light read, a re-read preferably, and was all grouchy because there wasn’t anything in the house that looked good. Does that ever happen to you? I mean, there I was, standing in front of the bookshelves with, oh, three hundred books on them, and I couldn’t find a thing to read. Like when you want a snack, and you open the fridge, and there are apples, but you want something crunchy, and there are baby carrots, but those are the wrong taste. So you go over to the pantry, and there are pretzels, but you don’t really want a salty, and there are granola bars, but you never really liked granola bars, even though they seemed like a good idea when you were in the grocery store. So you go back to the refrigerator, and think about maybe just having a glass of juice, but that’s not really a snack.. There’s cheese and crackers, but all you have is mozzarella. And do you have crackers? Back to the pantry. Well, there are Wheat Thins. Wheat Thins are OK. Not really what I want, though. Maybe an apple is what I want. I like apples, right? Hmph. OK, I’ll have an apple.

And then, if you are lucky, it’s a good apple, and you enjoy it, and afterward you don’t think that you have just totally wasted snack time for the afternoon.

Which is kinda how I feel about this last time through The Android’s Dream. You know?
