So, I haven't done this in a while. Here's the opening lyric from ten songs chosen at random from what my somewhat-random playlist chose for me today:
- You tell me that you've never been this way before/You tell me things I know that I've heard somewhere
- I saw you coming/I called your name/You couldn't hear me/You walked on by
- You ain't been blue; no, no, no./You ain't been blue, till you've had that [title of song]
- [title of song] and let's get together tonight/I got some money in my jeans and I'm really gonna spend it right
- I'm the one/The one with the coded knock/The phone rings twice so you call back
- Outnumbered a million to one/All of the dicks in this dick town/[title of song]
- The sun just slipped its note below my door/And I can't hide beneath my sheets/I've read the words before so now I know/The time has come again for me
- Workin' up a fever in a one horse town/Was a jockey by the name of Joe/He didn't have a lot of what you might call luck/But he had a lot of [title of song]
- I didn't want to know you/I didn't mean to be your friend/But now it seems/I'd run through burnin' fire/Just to see your face again
- [title of song], guests were parking/And my wedding was about to start/[title of song], monkeys clapping/Then I got up on table and I said
I took out the instrumentals, of course. Who wants to play? Looks like a tough one to me.

Snagging the easy one: #3 is Mood Indigo
Oddly enough, this one was the easiest title to guess and the most obscure performing group. This was the RevRay trio, who we saw in that B&B in Driffield.
#8 is Get Up and Go by the Rutles (and now it is stuck in my head)
Welp, #2 was not what I thought it might have been, so I’m out.
OK, time for hints: Here are the performers of the remaining songs: Eddie Cochran, Devo, Eddie From Ohio, Norah Jones, Annie Lennox, The Monkees and They Might Be Giants. Ring any bells?
Thanks,
-V.
