Afghan women march
Very interesting Reuters article at the New York Times about Afghan women attempting to march to the U.N. office in Kabul. The Northern Alliance's military police postponed the march for a week; I do hope it's allowed to happen next week.
Most interesting bit: "[Former politician and activist leader Saraya Parlika] is pushing for women to be represented at a meeting of Afghan groups to discuss the shape of a future government that the U.N. is working to convene."
I'm cynical about their chances, but I sure do hope it works.
