Hugo update
I'm hoping to get a chance to write up my thoughts on all the short-fiction Hugo nominees in a form suitable for public perusal before it's too late. (Remember, ballots are due by the end of this month, only three weeks from now.) I've gotten through all the novellas that are freely available online, and am working my way through the novelettes.
But for now, I'm just gonna note one thing: Ted Chiang's nominated story, "Hell Is the Absence of God," is now available for free download from Fictionwise. The link isn't yet on the list of links to free online versions of nominated stories, but I suspect it will be added shortly.
I have all sorts of other things I want to write about, but no time.
