More birthdays
I neglected to mention that the 12th was also the birthday of not one but two of our authors: Tim and Beth. Heather wrote Tim a very sweet birthday bestiary. Happy birthday, Tim and Beth!
Tim noted that we failed to reject one of his stories on his birthday this year. We went through a spate of such rejections last year; I'm tempted to ask authors to mention their birthdays in their cover letters so that we'll know what day not to send them rejections. Or what day to send them acceptances, for that matter. But then I'd have to add another field to the database and it would be all complicated 'n' stuff.
