Doesn't this look like an Onion headline? "Most People Kiss the Right Way, Study Finds." But in actuality it's a National Geographic story; the title is a weak pun, and the story's actually about the fact that most people turn their heads to the right when they kiss. ("Right-handed" doesn't seem quite right when describing non-hand parts of the body; can we adapt the grand word chirality to mean "handedness" in normal use?)
Meanwhile, Donald Rumsfeld wants to Do the Right Thing:
"Any time there's threats that are perceived, the prudent thing to do is to take steps that seem to be appropriate," Rumsfeld said at the Pentagon.
(That from a Star Tribune article.) Yeah, I have to agree that it would be imprudent to not take the steps that seem to be appropriate. Or to take the steps that seem to be inappropriate. Whichever.
(But presumably it's fine to take the steps that seem to be inappropriate whenever there are threats that aren't perceived, or whenever there aren't threats that are perceived.)
