Thank goodness for Barbara and David Mikkelson, the folks who run the Urban Legends Reference Pages. They're on the job once again with a page about rumors related to the terrorist attacks. Good to see some confirmation of some true rumors and debunking of some false ones, and further explanation/discussion for most of 'em. Note in particular that Clear Channel Communications didn't actually ban a long list of songs from playing on any of the many radio stations they own; there was merely a list of potentially problematic songs that was circulated internally for program directors who wanted to use it (but they were allowed to ignore it if they wanted to).
