Counter-argument
I took a nap, and read a little of the new issue of Lady Churchill's, and am feeling somewhat better, though still a bit stomachachey. That looks weird, but I'll stick by it, just to be able to write a word with achach in the middle.
Any rate. Callie dropped me a note to let me know that the Echo's Children site, which I host, got quasi-slashdotted last week, so I thought I'd run a quick server-log check in the background while attempting to get some work done. And then of course I had to look at referrer logs, and one thing led to another, and that led to Ms. Seok's eloquent rebuttal of my claim (based on Dr. Faber's research) that my heffalump is indeed a heffalump.
Ms. Seok's logic is impeccable. Nonetheless, I intend to cling to my stubborn belief in the heffalump nature of—oh, wait, I can't say yet.
The heffalump's name will be revealed soon, along with some discussion of the naming poll results.
