Wandery sort of day
Original plan for today: edit; do dishes.
What's really happening today: entering info about submissions into database (we're open to subs again, with extensive new guidelines, including lists of story plots we see too often) (and we've had a dozen submissions so far; I'm expecting at least 20 before the day is out), discovering that various friends have LiveJournals (I have a theory that everyone I know has a LiveJournal, and that eventually I'll uncover all of them), taking the "What Poetry Form Am I?" quiz (beware of huge numbers of evil obnoxious pop-up ads!!!!), etc.
I rather like that quiz, btw:
I am heroic couplets; most precise
And fond of order. Planned and structured. Nice.
I know, of course, just what I want; I know,
As well, what I will do to make it so.
This doesn't mean that I attempt to shun
Excitement, entertainment, pleasure, fun;
But they must keep their place, like all the rest;
They might be good, but ordered life is best.
Cute. If I weren't heroic couplets, I'd be the triolet:
If they told you I'm mad, then they lied.
I'm odd, but it isn't compulsive.
I'm the triolet, bursting with pride;
If they told you I'm mad, then they lied.
No, it isn't obsessive. Now hide
All the spoons or I might get convulsive.
If they told you I'm mad then they lied.
I'm odd, but it isn't compulsive.
Note that you can choose more than one option for each question in the quiz. There are another 16 or so possible results; I'm going to go look at the others, assuming I can stand the pop-up ads. (Lots of them, and did I mention obnoxious?)
