Gwyneth as Tintin?
Spielberg is going to do a series of action films based (loosely, one supposes) on Tintin. Sez the Observer:
[According to the magazine] Le Soir, Spielberg may cast convention aside and give Tintin a sex change. The magazine claims Gwyneth Paltrow and Jean-Claude Van Damme are being considered for the role of Tintin, Richard Gere for the role of Captain Haddock and Courtney Love as eccentric Italian diva Bianca Castafiore.
Gwyneth Paltrow. Jean-Claude Van Damme. Richard Gere. Courtney Love. I cannot imagine any of these people in these roles. Well, okay, Gwyneth maybe.
~Given that kind of casting, who are they going to get to play Snowy the cute little white terrier? Maybe the kangaroo from Kangaroo Jack?~
If they put me in charge of casting, I'd go with something more like Hilary Swank as Tintin, Robert DeNiro or John Rhys-Davies as Haddock, Anjelica Huston as Castafiore.
