Offline
My cable modem is acting up. It works fine for anywhere from five minutes to several hours, and then it goes offline for anywhere from five minutes to an hour or two. The cable company is going to come look at it, but not 'til next Wednesday. In the meantime, my access from home is frustratingly sporadic. Which is bad enough normally, but today I'm working at home. If it goes out too many more times, I may have to give up and go to work.
I have a feeling I'm entering another period of technology failing all around me. There've been problems with the hot water in my apartment. My computer is acting weird (I'll be typing an email message and suddenly get a spinning wait-cursor for 30 to 60 seconds). So far my car seems to be okay, though.
Anyway, I may be relatively hard to reach online for the next week, especially mornings and evenings and weekends.
