Flood and Fishnet

Pretty much nothing in this entry is worksafe, in case you're wondering.

On my way to bed, remembered that I received a nice email this morning from one H. L. Shaw letting me know that "The Flood" (by "J. Hartman") is now online at Fishnet, the online erotica magazine sponsored by the Blowfish sex toy company.

This is the story that Mary Anne published in her second waterproof anthology, Wet: More Aqua Erotica, a couple years back. Many thanks to M for buying it the first time, H for reprinting it, and R for pointing out the minor error regarding suspenders in the original version (now corrected in the online version).

Also to A for telling me about the town of Alma, in the Santa Cruz mountains, years before I had the idea to write this.

I mean, before J. had the idea to write this, of course.

The story is no "Withdraw, Withdraw!" (which may be my favorite of Nick's stories, and that's saying quite a bit) but J. is nonetheless immensely pleased to see it online.

J. is also rather sleepy and probably a bit punchy, and therefore hopes you'll pardon any stylistic affectations that may be taking over this entry, such as an unfortunate predilection for the third person.

And now to bed.

Congrats on the Fishnet story! I’ve been thinking about sending something in to them–how long did you have to wait before you got a response?
