Items: cats and sinks and stuff on heads

Amid all the bad news, it's worth occasionally stopping to look at silly pictures of cats.

You might start, for instance, with Cats in Sinks. (I should probably send them my 1998 photo of Steph's old cat Riley in a sink.)

You might also view the well-known (and somewhat scary and demonic-looking) McLagan photo of "A Drenched Cat."

And if that's not enough, you could move along to Stuff On My Cat, which reminds me just a little of Oolong (RIP), the rabbit with pancakes (and other food) on his head.

I was in the kitchen the other day, while one of my housemates was going slowly crazy from lack of exercise. She’s a former acrobat, so I finally told her to balance something on her nose for a while, and then catch it on the back of her neck. it took her about 15 minutes to get the hang of it, but that was 15 minutes without craziness. Well, other craziness, at least.

(this is related to your story because this was related to a trick where we’d balance a dog biscuit on the airdale’s nose until we said, ‘okay,’ whereupon he’d toss it into the air and catch it.)

When I view Cats in Sinks, the phrase “cats in sync” goes through my head.
